CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man who was texting while driving hit a telephone pole and a tree before his car flipped Saturday morning in Charlotte, officials said.
The wreck happened just before 8 a.m. in the 2800 block of Central Avenue.
The driver was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for a gash on his forehead. Police said his seat belt saved his life.
The man's two puppies ran from the car after the wreck.
Officials said no charges will be filed.
