One south Charlotte apartment complex is without power Saturday night after a car crashed into a home in the complex.

A neighbor told Channel 9 he heard a car engine racing at the complex on Shady Oak Trail near South Boulevard.

He said when he looked out of his window the car had crashed into the building.

The resident wasn't hurt.

MEDIC transported the female driver to CMC with potentially life-threatening injuries.

It's unclear how long it will take Duke Energy to restore power at the complex.
