FORT MILL, S.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers arrested three teenagers accused of stealing guns from Cabela’s in Fort Mill.

Bryan Bueso, Rommel Lino and Maynor Posada-Zuniga are facing charges after deputies said they used a hammer to break a window and steal around 30 handguns from the store early Monday.

Deputies are still trying to recover the stolen guns.

Officers said they found shattered windows in the back of the boat showroom at the store on Cabelas Drive in Fort Mill around 2 a.m. and that a Nissan Altima was still running outside.

Police said they discovered that the Nissan had been stolen out of Charlotte.

Authorities said they looked through surveillance video and saw that three burglars arrived at the store in two different cars.

Once the burglars broke in and stole the guns, officials said, they left the Nissan at the scene and drove away in another car.

"Who knows, these guys are desperate, I guess,” customer Charles Andrews said. “They want the guns. They are worth so much money."

Someone broke into the same store in June and stole guns. Investigators haven’t said whether they believe the two burglaries are connected.

"It's really a shame that people have to break in and steal things because you could get a job and earn it honestly," customer Danielle Schoolmeesters said.
