Brewery planned for former bank site in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Vaulted Oak Brewing has kicked off construction at a former bank site in east Charlotte.

Expect that roughly 4,000-square-foot brewery to open later this year at 3726 Monroe Road. It is part of the Echo Hills and Oakhurst neighborhoods, near the Bojangles Entertainment Complex.

Friends Kiel Arrington, Johnie Jones and Chuck Kistler are behind that $1.5 million venture. 

“It’s always been my dream,” Arrington said.
