CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Thirsty Nomad Brewing is shutting down its Charlotte taproom, just shy of four years in operation. The nanobrewery will be open from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, before permanently closing its doors.
“This has been a long time coming,” says Brad Ledbetter, president, brewer and founder. “I am very much a realist about this.”

He’s arranged a company to auction off the brewery’s assets in mid-June.
Ledbetter told the Charlotte Business Journal in March he expected the brewery would be forced to close within weeks after COVID-19 shuttered its taproom. The nanobrewery was already fighting for survival before that.
