HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — eeZ Fusion & Sushi closed its doors at Birkdale Village over the weekend as part of an ongoing renovation and expansion.
The restaurant plans to invest $800,000 into upgrades to create a sleeker and more modern look, says Alan Springate, owner.

eeZ has been a fixture at the Huntersville shopping center for almost 15 years and recently renewed its lease. Shopping center owner North American Properties, based in Cincinnati, is in the midst of a $20 million revamp at the center.
“It just seemed like a very logical time to go ahead and to make this transition,” says Alan Springate, owner of the restaurant. “We’ve been there a long time and we’ve evolved.”
