Billy Joel concert at Bank of America Stadium rescheduled to 2022

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Piano Man is coming to Bank of America Stadium, but fans will have to wait a little longer to see him.

Billy Joel was originally scheduled to perform at the stadium in April 2020, but the pandemic forced concert promoters Live Nation and Tepper Sports and Entertainment to reschedule the show not once, but now twice.

On Friday, it was announced that the show is now scheduled to take place April 23, 2022.

Tickets purchased for the previous date will be honored on the rescheduled one.

Ticket purchasers will be contacted directly by email with refund options for those unable to attend the new show.

Other shows scheduled for Bank of America Stadium in 2020 that were impacted by the pandemic include Garth Brooks, who is now scheduled to perform Sept. 25, Motley Crüe and Def Leppard, who rescheduled their summer tour to June 2021, and the Rolling Stones, who postponed their summer tour in 2020.
