CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte’s homegrown chicken-and-biscuits chain is breaking into a new market with its latest deal for expansion. Bojangles has reached an agreement with existing franchisee Jeff Rigsby to add 45 locations over the next seven years, according to a press release.
Rigsby’s company, BOJ of WNC LLC, has also acquired 16 corporate-owned locations from Bojangles in connection with the expansion, per the release. The new stores will span his core markets — Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee — as well as Columbus, Ohio, which will be new territory for the brand.
