ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A bicyclist has been airlifted to an area hospital after running into another bicyclist in Rowan County Thursday morning, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
It happened around 11 a.m. on Childers Road near Withrow Creek.
Troopers said two bicyclists were traveling north on Childers Road when they ran into each other, knocked each other out, and fell to the ground.
At least one of those bicyclist was then airlifted to an area hospital, according to troopers.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol is currently at the scene gathering more information.
