CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Multiple people have said they have seen a bear roaming around neighborhoods in east Mecklenburg County Friday.
The bear was last spotted on Maitland Lane near Jardin Way.
One homeowner said they saw the bear and called North Carolina Wildlife officials, but was told the agency couldn’t do anything unless the bear was doing something to someone.
Officials have not said if they have caught the bear or if they are looking for it.
