CHARLOTTE — Mecklenburg County gave the green light to the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Major League Soccer to start renovations on the Bank of America Stadium.

A permit issued last week by the county allows for the interior demolition to offices and a referee room.

It also allows for the demolition of some seating.
