Bank of America to relocate one area branch, shutter another

CHARLOTTE — Bank of America Corp. is making adjustments to its branch network in the Charlotte area.

Locally based BofA is relocating its Arboretum branch at 7911 Providence Road less than a half-mile away to 7921 Providence Road. The existing location will close Nov. 18, with the new one opening that following Monday, a BofA spokesperson confirmed.

BofA is also permanently closing a branch at 2950 Union Road in Gastonia, according to an Office of the Comptroller of the Currency filing. This location has been temporarily closed since March 2020, with employees already relocated.
