CHARLOTTE — A better-burger restaurant chain that returned to the Charlotte market less than three years ago has closed — at least for now — both of its locations here.
Back Yard Burgers opened its Gastonia restaurant in September 2020, reentering the market after previous stores here had shuttered in 2012. A location in Harrisburg followed in 2021, with CEO Dennis Pfaff telling CBJ at the time that the brand had plans to keep growing here.
