KINSTON, N.C. — The search for a missing pig in Lenoir County is over.
On Wednesday, people in Kinston, North Carolina, spent the day searching for a baby pig named Dale Oinkhardt Jr.
The pig’s owner, Stanley Harper, told WPDE that he kept Dale and five other pigs behind his bar, Stanley’s Saloon, for people to see.
But Wednesday morning, Harper got a call that Dale was on the loose.
“You know, some people wake up to ‘Good morning, beautiful. Good morning, handsome.’ I woke up to ‘Your pig’s on the loose in downtown Kinston,’” Harper said.
The pig was eventually found outside an apartment complex and is back home safe with Harper.
