The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the death of a 40-year-old inmate at the York County Detention Center.
Lisa Baker, 30, of Fort Mill, was found unresponsive at the detention center, the York County Coroner’s Office said.
She was taken to a hospital for medical concerns and died, the sheriff said in a post on X on Wednesday.
Autopsy and toxicology will be completed this week.
The investigation is ongoing.
