CHARLOTTE — Atrium Health’s top 10 executives made a combined $27.84 million in 2021, according to an annual compensation report the health-care system released Friday.
That marks a roughly 4% increase compared to the previous year’s totals.
Gene Woods, CEO at Atrium, was the top earner at $9.83 million, including $3 million in base salary, $3.8 million in bonus compensation and $1.3 million in incentives. He earned 24% more compared to 2020.
Atrium’s diversity, inclusion and compensation committee sought third-party advisers to review compensation.
Compensation for the top 10 executives comprises less than 0.5% of total compensation for all employees, Atrium said.
