“Charlotte is a perfect fit for our growing business,” said Mark Wilson, CEO of Chime Solutions. “We are looking forward to contributing to the Charlotte community and helping our employees thrive through our people-first culture, entrepreneurial-growth mindset and community-centered initiatives.”

The minority-owned company provides customer-contact service to people in various industries including financial services, insurance, health care and telecommunications.

Wilson said they were attracted to Charlotte because they wanted to help with the upward mobility crisis. His company is looking to hire people for customer service positions.

"The opportunities for those entry level for the folks that are starting here are significant jobs," Wilson said. "We are priding ourselves on providing a livable for the entry level."

Wilson said they hope to support the growth and development of their employees by helping them with homeownership and wrap around services like daycare, which is something many families are looking for.

The company will host job fairs Tuesday and Wednesday in Charlotte with openings for positions such as operations manager, help desk support, service deliver manager and real-time analyst.

“Charlotte is committed to upward mobility and creating opportunities for everyone,” said Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles. “It's not just about the ability to have a place to live, it's the ability to have a job. We have to focus on workforce development, job skills and development. We welcome Chime Solutions as it takes real steps toward achieving our shared goals for the community.”

Earlier this month, Lyles announced digital mortgage lender Better.com is also calling Charlotte home and plans to hire 1,000 employees within five years.

She said luring companies to Charlotte shows there is opportunity for everyone in a fast-growing city.
