GASTONIA, N.C. — Service was restored after at least 300 people were without power in Gaston County Tuesday morning.
County officials said the outage started around 5 a.m. and affected customers in southeast Gastonia who get their power from the city's utility service.
Officials said the power was not running from Duke Energy to the city like it should have been and that the problem appeared to be weather-related.
Channel 9 learned that several traffic lights were impacted in the area of New Hope Road and Franklin Boulevard.
Power was restored around 7 a.m., officials said.
