Distribution at county libraries is set to begin again next week.
Previously, Mecklenburg County Public Health announced a delay of the January distribution of free at-home COVID-19 test kits due to winter weather. The new pick up time for testing kits was from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29.
Residents picked up the tests at two locations:
- J.M. Alexander Middle School in Huntersville.
- Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte (distribution will be in the large parking lot on Hebron Street, across from the main campus entrance).
Due to inclement weather, the Covid-19 at home test distribution tomorrow has a new time: 12-3

Officials said they will provide up to four COVID-19 tests per household.
The tests are available while supplies last. They will be distributed on a walk-in or drive-up basis. You do not need to make an appointment.
Officials said at-home test kits do not require clinical supervision, so a prescription from a health care provider is not required.
