Armor steel supplier opens first U.S. operation in Charlotte region

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill will be home to the first U.S. operation for an international ballistic steel supplier.

Optimized Armor Inc. is establishing its operations at 467 Lakeshore Parkway, leasing the full 54,500-square-foot flex building.

Founded in 2019, Optimized Armor is the U.S. manufacturing arm of Advanced Armour Engineering, a British-owned ballistic steel supplier based in Dubai. The armor steel supplier is investing in excess of $3.7 million to create 100 new jobs in York County.
