CHARLOTTE — California-based Republic Metropolitan has filed documents with the city of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County for a mixed-use project it is planning on the site of NoDa’s Johnston YMCA.
Republic Metropolitan went under contract in May to purchase the 5.78-acre property at 3025 N. Davidson St. from the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. Republic Metropolitan is in the due-diligence phase and plans to close on the acquisition of the property in early 2024, Heather Briganti, YMCA vice president of communications and PR, told Charlotte Business Journal.
