CHARLOTTE — A local organization is calling for an end to the multiple incidents of senseless violence in Charlotte.
‘Stop the Killing’ hosted an event on Saturday discussing the rising violence rate in the city, specifically the rising murder rate.

The founder of the organization, James Barnett, said the Queen City community has come too far to accept these high murder rates.
“We believe that we have a problem in the community; not only do we have a problem, we’re going to do something about it,” Barnett said.
