CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two real estate firms active in Charlotte commercial real estate appear to be jumping into the office development game in South End.
Charlotte-based Childress Klein and Ram Realty Advisors, a Florida firm that keeps an office here, have filed plans with city of Charlotte’s development services that indicate they seek to build up to 257,102 square feet of office and 21,502 square feet of retail space at a site that includes the corner of Camden Road and West Worthington Avenue in South End.

The land today serves, in part, as a surface parking lot for the Design Center of the Carolinas, which sits directly across Worthington Avenue from the newly proposed project.
Project 125 Office, as it’s called in the filing, calls for an office and retail building with a parking deck.
