Another local Wells Fargo branch set to close this summer

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Wells Fargo & Co. is shuttering another branch in the Charlotte region.

The branch at 125 S. Battleground Ave. in Kings Mountain will close on July 14. Customers can visit the next-closest branch in Gastonia. There are ATMs available in Kings Mountain, Gastonia, Shelby and Dallas, plus another branch in Dallas, the bank said.

Wells Fargo said branches remain important, but customers are increasingly turning to digital banking tools. As a result, more transactions are happening outside of branches.
