LAKE NORMAN, N.C. — A family says they put down more than $100,000 to build a new home, but the construction company hasn’t done much beyond breaking ground -- and it’s the same builder Action 9 has been investigating since last year.
The family said they hired Constructing Up to build a house in the Lake Norman area. They say the company was supposed to wrap up work in March of this year.

Two other families have sued Constructing Up and won but, at last check, they said they also hadn’t seen any payments.
Stoogenke reached out to the company’s owner, Christian Novellino, and his last known lawyer, but hadn’t heard back by noon.
