“American Idol” isn’t letting a pandemic stop it from finding its next singing sensation.
For the first time, the show’s nationwide casting call, “Idol Across America” is going virtual.

Thanks to custom-built Zoom technology, “Idol” hopefuls will have the chance to audition face-to-face in front of the show’s producers at virtual tour stops in their home state.
Auditions for North Carolinians will be held Sept. 9 and an open call for the South will be held Sept. 15.
You must be between 15-28 years old to audition.
