American Idol open call auditions in uptown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Think you're America's next singing sensation? You have a chance to prove it in Charlotte on Friday.

American Idol will host open call auditions at the Levine Center for the Arts Plaza located at 500 South Tryon Street.

The producers of American Idol announced the Queen City will be one of the show's audition stops earlier this summer.

Participants can pre-register or sign up the day of auditions.

The nationwide search for the next superstar starts Aug 25 in Orlando.
