CHARLOTTE — American Airlines has boosted one of its nonstop trans-Atlantic routes at Charlotte Douglas International Airport from summer seasonal service to a year-round offering.
American Airlines Group Inc. said this week that its flight from CLT to Spain’s capital city of Madrid has been extended throughout the year. That route from Charlotte to Madrid–Barajas Airport will fly once daily.
The nearly eight-hour flight leaves CLT at about 4:45 p.m. and arrives in Madrid at 6:40 a.m., according to American’s website. The nine-hour flight back to Charlotte departs the Madrid airport in late morning and arrives here in the afternoon.
