CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Airlines is increasing its seasonal flight offerings at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in summer 2020 with a new route to an affluent island off the New England coast.
The once-weekly flight between Charlotte Douglas and the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard will begin June 20 and end Sept. 5.

Charlotte Douglas is home to American Airlines' second-largest hub. Earlier this month, the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier gained access to four additional gates on CLT's original Concourse A. It expects those added gates to help push its average daily flight count at CLT to 700-plus in the coming months.
