CHARLOTTE — American Airlines continues to bet on a surge in international travel this summer. The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline said Tuesday that it is bolstering its summer schedule to London’s Heathrow Airport, including a third daily flight from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

That additional flight is scheduled to leave CLT at 11:25 p.m. and arrive in London the next day at 12:15 p.m. American’s website shows the flight will launch on April 15.
The airline’s other two daily flights here to London currently depart Charlotte at 6:35 p.m. and 8:33 p.m.
