CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A new theater will return to the heart of the Park Road Shopping Center.

The shopping center's owner, Edens, announced that AMC will reopen the theater at the popular location.
The old Regal Cinemas Park Terrace Theater closed in December. The company said the theater will be renovated but will preserve the historic nature of the building.
It is set to open in early 2019.
