Ambulance crash in Caldwell County sends 5 to hospital, troopers say

CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — An ambulance crash in Caldwell County sent two first responders and three other people to a hospital Wednesday, investigators with the North Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The ambulance was transporting a patient to the hospital when it crashed on Highway 312 at Mount Herman Road in Hudson. Caldwell County Emergency Services said everyone on board the ambulance was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
