Amber Alert rescinded for NC boy, 3, allegedly abducted by non-custodial father

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An Amber Alert has been rescinded in the search for a 3-year-old believed to have been abducted by his non-custodial father, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

Police initiated the search for 3-year-old Robert Paul Parker Jr. around 4 a.m. Wednesday. He was reported missing from a home on Candleberry Court.

Officers he is described as 3 feet tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. The department believed the child was with his father, 46-year-old Robert Paul Parker Sr.

Parker is 5 feet, 7 inches tall with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He has a tattoo of a mermaid on his leg.

Police said the Amber Alert was rescinded as investigators became aware of more information. They did not elaborate any further.

Police said the custodial issues happened in the jurisdiction of Hoke County, which is also where an active domestic violence protection order was issued against Robert Parker.

The department said Parker is driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EX with North Carolina tags that read: KCA3423. The vehicle may also have front-end damage.

The Fayetteville Police Department said it has been in touch with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office.
