BUMCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office has canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 8-year-old girl after authorities said they had found her safe early Wednesday morning.
Deputies said that around 9 p.m. on Tuesday they were called to a home on Asbury Acres in Candler, North Carolina for a domestic situation.
The girl’s mother told officers that her ex-husband, Joshua Queen, 32, had assaulted her, stolen her car and taken their child, Bailey Lynn Queen.
