Amazon supplier grabs huge distribution building in Rock Hill

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Amazon.com Inc. and its suppliers continue to grab building space in the Charlotte region.

NFI, a Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based privately owned supply chain company, which is one of the primary logistics firms for the e-commerce giant, has leased a 507,500-square-foot building in Riverwalk Business Park.

McCraney Property Co., which says it’s based in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Charlotte, completed the $25 million building, called Logistics 77@Riverwalk, during the last quarter, and now NFI has taken the entire structure.

The third-party logistics provider did not indicate which of its customers the Rock Hill building will serve.

The news in Riverwalk comes a week after Amazon finalized its plans for building a $200 million distribution center near Charlotte Douglas International Airport. That project includes 1,500 jobs. It will also open an Amazon Pop-Up store later this month at Concord Mills.
