CARY, N.C. — Amazon said it will open a facility in Cary, North Carolina, that will create hundreds of jobs.
The Seattle-based e-commerce giant said Monday it plans to open a “delivery station” sometime this year. At delivery stations, orders are prepared for last-mile delivery to customers. The Cary site is meant to improve delivery times in the Triangle.
The company did not say whether it has chosen a specific location for the delivery station, but it said the facility “will create hundreds of full-time and part-time jobs” paying a minimum of $15 an hour.
