CHARLOTTE — During the holiday season in 2022, Amazon launched a program to let customers say “thank you” to their delivery drivers and provide a $5 tip courtesy of the company.
The program was wildly successful, and Greylon Anthony of Charlotte was among the top five drivers who received “thank yous” from customers.

Anthony was acknowledged by so many Amazon customers that the company gave him a reward of $10,000, but Amazon also offered the opportunity for him to donate to his charity of choice.
Anthony selected Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital, which received a $10,000 donation on behalf of him and Amazon. He said he selected the hospital so they can purchase essentials and provide care for pediatric patients.
Amazon says nearly 8 million “thank yous” have been sent to drivers since the “Alexa, Thank My Driver” program launched.
