CHARLOTTE — Amazon.com has confirmed its plans for three new facilities in the Charlotte area.
The company will open a fulfillment center in Pineville and two delivery stations in Charlotte. A spokesperson said the facilities will open later this year.
The fulfillment center will be at Carolina Logistics Park, a large industrial park being developed by Beacon Partners. The project will occupy a building of just over 1 million square feet, which is slated to be the park’s largest. Amazon said the facility would employ “hundreds” of people, but exact jobs numbers are unclear.
The Charlotte Business Journal reported in February that Amazon was targeting CLP in Pineville for a facility of at least 1 million square feet.

Amazon announced its two delivery stations would be located at 4226 Beam Road and 9817 Old Statesville Road, both of which were reported by CBJ earlier this year.
