CHARLOTTE — Amazon.com Inc.’s cargo airline is changing service providers at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, prompting a layoff filing with the state affecting more than 150 local workers.

Ohio-based LGSTX Services Inc. sent notice this week to the N.C. Department of Commerce that a “sudden and unforeseen decision made by a customer to terminate operations services” would result in it permanently shutting down at 4100 Yorkmont Road in Charlotte. LGSTX said via its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification sent to the state that 154 employees, many of whom work as cargo handlers, are impacted by it ceasing operations at the facility.
