CHARLOTTE — Culinary Dropout’s first Charlotte restaurant will begin dishing up its twist on classic meals — with attitude — in early 2023.
Fox Restaurant Concepts has signed a deal to bring that 13,312-square-foot establishment to Vantage South End at 1120 S. Tryon St. It will be near sister restaurants North Italia, which opened in 2019, and Flower Child.
That $300 million, 635,000-square-foot project includes two 11-story office towers, 55,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a 1-acre courtyard that seats 1,000-plus and drives synergy between the concepts.

Culinary Dropout creates an atmosphere that is built around edgy food, live music, yard games and cocktails.
“Culinary Dropout is just a fun place to be. It’s for families, date night or after-work food and drinks,” says Sam Fox, founder. “We are thrilled to serve this Charlotte community with killer hospitality, great food and memorable drinks.”
