HIGH POINT, N.C. — A North Carolina teenager, who was abandoned as a newborn, now has her diploma.
Angel Thomas graduated from high school in High Point. Over the last year, however, she began to openly discuss being abandoned as a newborn.
Thomas was abandoned at a Greensboro apartment complex. Since then, she met her biological mother and the people who came to her rescue.
Those people joined her in celebrating her graduation. She plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. where she hopes to become a commercial pilot.
“I feel like I’m about to go into the real world and I’m excited for it and my goal is starting to feel reachable,” Thomas said.
