CHARLOTTE — Channel 9 is collecting new and gently used coats for children in need across the Carolinas, and this is your chance to make an impact in person.
It’s officially 9 Coats for Kids Collection Day in Charlotte! From noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, meet Channel 9 at the Walmart in the Arboretum Shopping Center and bring your coat donation.
You can even get a chance to meet guests like Carolina Panthers legend Steve Smith.

And just a hint, he’s not the only Steve who will be making a guest appearance during our collection drive.
We want to see your smiling faces while you’re helping those in need in our community, but you can also make a donation online if you can’t make it in person. (Click this link)
The collection drive will take place until 6 p.m. at the Walmart on Pineville-Matthews Road.
After that, you can take your coats to any of our donation locations through the end of December.
