ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — An 80-year-old man who was reported missing was killed in a car crash in Durham, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said Ernest “Ed” Dewitt Johnson, of Stirewalt Road in China Grove, was last seen on Thursday.
Friday afternoon, officials announced that Johnson had died in a car accident sometime on Thursday.
His family has been notified and he has been removed from the National Crime Information Center database , according to reports.
