CHARLOTTE — Eight people were hurt in a crash in east Charlotte Tuesday afternoon, paramedics said.
It happened around 2 p.m. on East W.T. Harris Boulevard at Linda Lake Drive.

MEDIC said they treated eight patients -- two people were seriously hurt and six had minor injuries.
From Chopper 9 Skyzoom, several cars appeared to be involved, with at least one appearing to have caught fire in the process. At least three appeared to have severe damage, and shattered glass and debris was scattered across the roadway.

Two northbound lanes of Harris Boulevard were open around 2:30 p.m., but all southbound lanes were closed while first responders were at the scene.
