CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The 75th CIAA basketball tournament in February will be its last year in Charlotte after 15 years in the Queen City.
The CIAA announced it is moving the tournament to Baltimore for the next three years.
“Unfortunately, Charlotte didn’t win the bid but that doesn’t mean Charlotte can’t come back when we go out to bid in the next three or four years. You know, this is home for us as a headquarters, and we still want to make sure we do things here and be a part of this great community," said Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams.
