6 teens accused of planning robbery at northeast Charlotte apartments

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Six teens are accused of trying to rob residents last month at the Maple Run apartments in northeast Charlotte.

The teenagers wore masks and had what was believed to be firearms, according to police.

The teens were planning to rob the victims Sept. 28 at about 10:30 p.m., but those intended targets called police, who responded quickly.

Two of the teens stopped when officers arrived and the four others ran off, though all six were eventually taken into custody, police told Channel 9.

Detectives charged Vet Ksor, 19, Oscar Rebollar-Velasquez, 16, Andy Giron, 16, Erixon Garcia, 17, Elvis Ortiz, 17 and a 15-year-old male for their involvement in this case.

The 15-year-old juvenile was charged with felony conspiracy to commit armed robbery and taken to the Cabarrus Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

The other suspects were charged with felony conspiracy to commit armed robbery and taken to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
