4 hurt after car crashes into Harrisburg bottle shop

HARRISBURG, N.C. — Four people were transported to the hospital Thursday night after a vehicle struck the Vortex Bottle Shop on School House Commons in Harrisburg, causing structural damage to the building.

The Harrisburg Fire Department responded to the scene at 4469 School House Commons at approximately 7:14 p.m.

Fire officials confirmed four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. First responders secured the area and coordinated the emergency response, with officials determining the crash was unintentional.

The impact caused structural damage to the front entrance wall and shattered surrounding glass. Firefighters secured the site and rendered aid to those at the scene.

Town of Harrisburg officials stated that the municipality is committed to supporting the small business throughout its rebuilding process. Vortex Bottle Shop has since safely reopened for business.
