CHARLOTTE — Crews with Duke Energy restored power for thousands of people in south Charlotte on Sunday.
Channel 9 brought you the story this morning when nearly 3,000 people in south Charlotte woke up without power Sunday morning.
The outage was caused by a crash near the intersection of South Boulevard and Sharon Road West. By just before 10 a.m., only 800 people were affected.

At the scene, our crew could see damage and workers cleaning up the area.
It took Duke Energy around four hours to finish fully restoring power.
