CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UPDATE: Kenneth Armstrong, 21, was arrested Friday morning and charged with three counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.
Police arrested three teens Thursday in a series of armed robberies across Charlotte.
One of the suspects, Ishmeel Chapman, 17, has been arrested four times in the past two weeks.
Donquavis Johnson and Baasim Davenport, both 16, were also arrested.
They are accused of being involved in the following armed robberies:
- Aug. 26 at 3:49 a.m.: Circle K located at 7010 University City Blvd.
- Aug. 28 at 4:27 a.m.: 7-Eleven located at 835 Clanton Road.
- Aug. 28 at 5:14 a.m.: 7-Eleven located at 838 Tyvola Drive.
- Aug. 28 5:39 a.m.: Microtel Inn and Suites located at 132 E. McCullough Drive.
- A short time later: Candlewood Suites located at 8812 University East Drive.
Chapman was charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Davenport and Johnson were each charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
