The suspect, Robert Barringer, 46, a former employee who was fired, walked up to the front door of the business wearing a black-hooded jacket and mask, CMPD stated in a news release. He waited for one of the shooting victims to open the door for him. The victim asked Barringer to show his face but he didn’t and walked in. Barringer pulled out a pistol and shot that victim before shooting the other two, CMPD said.

Detectives said he then “forcibly moved” one of those victims against their will and stole several items from them and the business before running away.

All three people shot were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Channel 9 crews could see a large police presence at the scene, with several officers looking for evidence inside and outside of the business.

Barringer was apprehended Wednesday and charged with three counts of assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflict and inflict serious injury, three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of shooting into an occupied property, first-degree kidnapping and firearm by felon.
